Electric Wheelchair (EWC) Table

Version 1

This table was designed for the Centro Glide EWC, focusing on a few key considerations: I wanted to ensure visibility of my feet, as I experienced a spiral fracture after toes caught on a gate post. I included outlets for a 12-volt car plug and USB connections.

Version 2

After trialing the first design I determined due to the instability of the table, I lengthed the table so it was wide enough to span  both armrest.

Using a bracket of an old table gave me the ability to adjust the distance from my stomach the edge of the table.

I also added a removable phone stand held on by magnets using a bracket to hold my phone

My initial design aimed to be spacious enough to accommodate small items like a phone or a cup, along with a designated area for holding items such as keys.

To strengthen the table I have two 10mm stainless steel rods the length of the table keeping the parts together.

Using Areldite to glue everything together I gave a base color of black and masked off an abstract designed using masking
